subject: Which hosting, which domain provider? [print this page]

I have decided to buy domain names from godaddy, and hosting from hostgator. I think that godaddy is the most efficient domain control panel, but for hosting they are useless. You have to pay for extra emails, limited databases and so many problems on mail servers.

As you know, mailingmeans communication, communication means earning money, earning money means good life. Ifyou miss one important emailcoming from anycustomer, it means real headache orIf you have to call customer after sending email to be sure, this means you are still livingwith 90's tech.

So i have decided to search for another hosting provider . I've been using hostgator for three months, and bought baby plan for me and hatching plan for my customer. Results are pretty good for me. At least i have no problem sending and receiving mails, lowdatabase limits and other things. One problem for hostgator is working more slowly than godaddy hosting but acceptable for me. Robust and working system and communication is more important than low speed for me.

if we compare godaddy and hostgator;

godaddy; good for domain control

hostgator: has to improve control panel

godaddy: more emails means more money

hostgator: emails are free with packages

godaddy: limited database limit

hostgator:unlimited database limit

godaddy:faster hosting than hostgator

hostgator: does it matter if it has a very little difference

At the end, i suggest domain from godaddy, hosting from hostgator for beginners. If any other good suggestions you have please do not hesitate to make a comment :)
