Attaching a nailer to the molding allows it to be fastened to the cabinet from underneatn.
Crown molding does not have to extend all the way to the ceiling. In the case of exceptionally high ceilings, there may be a gap of as much as a foot. This hidden space above the cabinet can be used to good effect; by placing fluorescent lights on top ofthe cabinets, the resulting indirect lighting can add so phistication to your kitchen.
