Its not only a simple communications failure but the thing is that the lies that the cheating partner often tell to continue the affair causes a major communications issue in marriages. Trust is ruined for the other partner. As lies goes on and on, one lie after the other, until such time that the other partner doesn't know what and who to believe anymore at the end. If trust is ruined, it will take a long time to have it back again.
2.Makes the other half feel insecure. Cheating on your partner makes him/her feel like she is a useless individual. It ruins both the self confidence and confidence in marriage. It makes your spouse feel like he/she isn't good enough for you and that he/she make you go out and look for another, a far better person, you've found this on the other party. Instead of feeling secure in your love, she will feel lost, insecure and unworthy individual.
3.It destroys you financially. Cheating isn't free. A hidden relationship requires other expenses such as hotels, food, and others that you're not supposed to have to spend. In today's economy that every cent counts, some are tempted to spend their savings or retirement money for the sake of maintaining their hidden affair or to cover up for the money they spend with the other party. When the other partner finds out, it will not only make him/her disappointed but financially and emotionally devastated as well.
4.Cheating is risky sexually. Cheating is risky in the sense that the risk of you getting STDs in having an affair not only endangers your own health but the health of your spouse who is not likely to be protecting herself from you against STDs. Only a few is too careful when it comes to safe sex practice especially those who are too engrossed in the company of their secret affair.
