subject: Ladies, Save yourself 20 minutes every morning [print this page]

With just a little thought and personal organization you can save yourself at least 20 minutes each morning and go to work looking good, cool and relaxed.

Some tips you can try that will save you precious minutes:

Set your alarm clock to go off 4 minutes earlier than normal. Also put your alarm clock out of arms reach so you have to get out of bed to turn it off. No more "just an extra 5 mins"

Take quicker showers, on average we spend 10 minutes in the shower when we only need four. It will aslo save water.

Invest in a more powerful hairdryer and straighteners, the latest models are 60% faster than older models and are more energy efficent.

Do you always have to wash your hair, could you leave it for one day, could you use a dry shampoo.

Clean out your make up bag. Throw out all the old and unused items and keep just what you need for the morning in a sepparate bag.

Put out all the clothes (including underwear and shoes)youneed in one place the night before.

Keep you car keys, mobile phone, purse, note book and other itemsin one place and and keep to this place at all times.

If you take lunch to work (and you should as it will be much cheaper) prepare it the night before.

If you have to iron something last minute invest in the latest steam generator irons which cancut ironing time by half.

If you travel by car listen to the local travel news and weatherand avoid traffic congestion and delays.

Be aware of the time, put clocks in the kitchen, hall way, bathroom (steam and water resistant)and living room, wear awatch. By being aware of the time you can keep to your schedule.

A20 minute saving each day will mean an extra 1 hour and 40 minutes a week (based on Mon-Fri) that you can spend having more "me" time.
