However, doing keyword research should make up about 15 minutes of every week as you decide what you are going to write about.

The first thing you need to do is make a decision about what to write about. Then take that idea to any keyword research tool (I prefer a free tool. You can find one by Google-ing "Google Adwords External Keyword Tool".)

Now what you're looking for is which words the most people are putting into the search engines pertaining to your chosen topic.

So if you put the word Usana into the search box you'll get a whole bunch of topics that people have put into Google to find information specifically about what they need to know about that company. You may find that people are looking for reviews, or other information on topic. You may also find that people are looking for information about the products sold by that company.

Choose one and then give people what they are looking for. Expose them to you. Then offer them more information about you if they click on your link, or a little signature box or something that tells them what you're an expert in.

That's where you let them know that you can teach them more about marketing etc.

Okay, this is important. If you're going to use the great keywords that are highly sought after and highly competitive them you have to fully understand the style of low cost lead generation that I'm teaching you.

Knowing which keywords to use is important. Giving people what they are looking for is important. But we need to discuss how many times you use these keywords in your articles - and we also need to address how many different keywords you should be using in each article.
