So you go online, open your favorite search engine and type in: what makes money?. Based on the number of results it seems that a lot of things make money.
But you are no idiot. You know that most of these make money schemes do not work. Especially if they claim that making money is fast and easy. Saying that making money is fast and easy it a dead give away that it is a scam.
You look through the results and notice that one of the ways which keeps popping up is to make a website. These websites about making a website are plenty. You read a few and are excited.
You are familiar with computers, software does not scare you. Designing a website layout and writing seem like something that you would enjoy. Making a website seems like a good way to make money.
Making a website is a good way to money. There are hundred, probably thousands, of websites that make money. So it must be possible. People are making money with websites. And the best part is that these are normal, everyday type of people. People who started out just like you knowing nothing about websites or how they make money.
So, if they can do it so can you . Well, that was my thinking anyway. I am good with computers, I enjoy writing. I could picture myself spending my days in the coffee shop writing.
Great. I will make a website and become rich. One of these two things happened. I made a website. Becoming rich has still not happened still waiting.
It has been two years since I decided to create a website. In that time I have created the website, writing over 40 pages of content, and 50 blogposts. I am far from rich and still have my day job.
You will read everywhere, and everybody will tell you that websites make money. They will tell you that you can make lots of money too. They are not lying websites do make money. But whether you will make money with a website is a whole other question.
I have been at it for two years only because I believe that it is possible to make money with a website. Its possible but it certainly takes time.
