subject: Bachelorette Parties With A Twist [print this page]

It's not all about half naked guys and free-flowing vodka, some brides-to-be do want something else for their bachelorette party. (Yeah, yeah... what a shame if you had to cancel the appointment with the male strippers.) Don't fret! A bachelorette party doesn't always have to be done in the traditional, definite-hangover-the-next-day way.

Fresh and Fancy

Set the party at a spa. Imagine how fun it would be to have all your girls with you, getting pampered at the spa all day. There's nothing more relaxing than a full body massage, a great way to release any pent-up nerves for the upcoming wedding. More hot towels?

Baby You Can Drive My Car

If the bride is the adventurous type, you can set up a trip to go out of town, maybe to the coast or up the mountain. Do whatever you want, just make sure you go! And to add more excitement, you can refrain from telling her where you're going and just order her to pack an overnight bag. Don't give her a clue on where you're going.

Invite Your Girlfriends Over

Get comfy, stay in, and let the party begin! You can rent some movies, pop some popcorn along with the champagne, and in between you can play games like truth or dare or Pictionary. (Hey who's the girl with the blue ribbon?)

Go Head Over Heels.. Literally

Get your girlfriends to go to a theme park, it's one wacky way to spend the day together and have fun. Takes lots of pictures, scream your head off on the horror train and later pig out on various foods like nachos and fries.

Send in the Clowns

Want to have the bride giggling like a girl again? Comedy bar, here we come! It's a great stress reliever, especially with the wedding so near.

So you see, there are many great ways to celebrate a bachelorette party without going on the wild side. A bachelorette party doesn't always have to end with a hangover, you can always have fun as long as you have your girlfriends with you. And one other thing, don't do anything moronic: ease up on the cotton candy, don't change the bride's hair color, and most of all - DON'T lose the bride! So in a nutshell, make the night memorable, not forgettable.
