Clomid has the chemical name of 2-[p-(2-chloro-1,2-diphenylvinyl)phenoxy] triethylamine citrate (1:1) and its chemical formula is C26H28ClNO or C32H36ClNO8 (citrate). It is known as Clomiphene Citrate and can be best described as a mixed estrogen agonist or antagonist for stimulation of LH (luteinizing hormone) and testosterone in the human body. Its primary purpose is inhibition of estrogen and not stimulation of pituitary or hypothalamus. Clomid is effective for ensuring enhancements in the recovery stages of testosterone's natural production after a steroid cycle. It offers a unique ability of minimizing the side effects of exercise induced muscle tissue damage. Furthermore, it is also effective as an agonist for improving the level of blood cholesterol. Taken in oral form, Clomid has an elimination half life of 5-7 days. The recommended dose of Clomid is 50 mg/day for a maximum period of five days. It is important to note that Clomid must be kept at a controlled room temperature of 59-86F (15-30C). It is important to note that Clomid is also used to treat women who do not ovulate on their own. However, it is not recommended for pregnant or pregnancy-suspecting women and people having an existing allergy to Clomiphene citrate or any of its ingredients. The usage of Clomid must be initiated only after a qualified medical recommendation. Dosages must not be altered and this drug must not be abused else side effects such as headache, abnormal uterine bleeding, increase in appetite, ovarian enlargement, increase in appetite, vaginal dryness, loss of hair, and fatigue may start happening. We hope that this informative blog on Clomid has helped you gain invaluable insights.About the Author:
