subject: Etycoon Review - Buying And Selling Websites For Lump Sum Profits [print this page] Have you even thought of websites as businesses? Little profit producing machines that can be built, bought and sold? Like virtual profit, shall we say. Well, that's what eTycoon is all about... Virtual Property.
Before I get too far along in my eTycoon review, I want to give you a bit of background about me and my experiences with buying and selling websites. You see, about three years ago I bought a site on SitePoint filled with Photoshop tutorials. The tutorials themselves were unique and it was getting lots of traffic but not making any money.
At the time, I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew that the Photoshop site was producing traffic. I knew how to make money through websites, but getting traffic was always the hard part for me.
Within 90 days after applying a few money making strategies like selling text link ads and putting Adsense up, I was making $380 a month. So, rather than hold on to it, I sold it for 10x earnings! I made 1000% on that investment!
For the next six or so months, I tried to replicate the little success. I bought and sold about 12 sites but never made as much money as I did on the first one. I thought it was a fluke. Well, until eTycoon came along.
When I first watched a video on the eTycoon website, I remember thinking, "Wow, this kid knows his stuff." It reminded me of the joy I had the first time I bought and sold that Photoshop website (and the profits!).
Honestly, the thing the drew me to the eTycoon model of buying and selling websites was the 'cleanliness' of it. You didn't have to build traffic. You didn't have to sell affiliate products or create your own products (although you could). You just had to find a site that needed some work, buy it, and revamp it!
That's what eTycoon is all about, buying and selling websites. Virtual property as Ryan Moran puts it. The training puts you through the process of how to find good websites for sale, how to make money on those websites and how to sell them! It's truly a business in a box.
I finished the eTycoon course about 4 months ago and it's been quite a ride since then. I've bought about 12 websites according to the formula Ryan laid out, added some ad blocks and profit producing spaces, waited a bit and sold them off! Each time, making a little bit more money. Ultimately, those increased profits will be reinvested into more, larger sites that I can flip for bigger returns.
If you don't mind, I'd like to share a few things from the eTycoon training!
The first tip I can give you is to start perusing Flippa.com for websites to buy. That's where I buy and sell most of my stuff. The marketplace is easy to use and they've got a rating system so you know who you're doing business with.
The second tip I'd like to give you is to start looking for affiliate offers on Clickbank.com. Buying a niche website and posting affiliate offers is the best way to start making cash now, as long as there is a good amount of existing traffic on your new website.
Make sure you check into eTycoon more if you're interested in buying and selling websites. It's a lot of fun and can serve to be a real money maker if you do it right!
