Did you know that you can actually grow more muscle by working out less in the weight room? It's true, and it's not surprising when you really think about it. By working out less often, you can actually grow more muscle. How you ask? Well it's really quite simple.

Your muscle tissue gets broken down when you workout, and when you sleep, your muscles repair themselves and grow larger. So it only follows that if you can give your body more time to rest, you gain more recovery time and allow the growing process to begin.

Let me ask you a quick question: Have you ever worked out hard for a week but didn't see the fast results that you were hoping for? And have you ever worked out for a short while in a week and saw rapid results that were unexpected? Both scenarios has happened to me, and I think the reason has to deal with recovery time.

Your goal in the weight room should be to workout hard and build alot of muscle in the process. It isn't necessary to do harm to your body where it's not required, so when you hit that spot of fatigue, it's time to call it quits for that set. If you workout alot, then more than likely you probably workout too often. If this is your case, then you will learn some tips that can have you more ripped in lesser time than you imagined. Here's the first tip for working out less.

1) Limit exercises to 3 times a week

You want to limit how often you workout to 3 times a week. If you currently workout for 5-7 days a week, then you are overdoing it. Remember, you need to give your body enough time to rest and repair so that your muscles can grow as quickly as they need to. If you're currently overdoing it with your workouts, when are you going to give your muscles time to relax?

To put it shortly, workout only 3 times a week. You can go every other day and still get the results that you're getting now, and more. If this doesn't sound too thrilling to you, then maybe you will find the following plan more interesting: Workout one day, and take supplements the next. When you use muscle building supplements, you are sure to get the bulk that you need to see results with your weight lifting efforts. Be sure to use this tip immediately. Here's tip number 2.

2) Cut your workout time down

If you currently workout for an hour or so now, consider minimizing the amount of time that you spend in the weight room. You may want to exercise for only 30 minutes as your total workout time. This will allow you to go hard for a short period of time, but not too hard where you damage your muscles.

If you want to see more size and definition, then shorter is best. If you've heard the phrase "more is better", then you should know that it is not good in this case.

Good luck with your muscle building efforts and getting the size and body structure that you desire.
