You may be having tinnitus when you hear every now and then some type of noise in your inner ear or your head which is like ringing, swishing, buzzing, roaring or hissing. You alone can hear the noise. If you are inside a soundproof booth and you hear some head noise this will be gone when you go out of the booth and this is known as normal tinnitus. Everybody will have the same experience in the soundproof booth.
