Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh after a hiatus are bringing back the lost charm to the silver screen with Do Dooni Chaar. Now there is a predicament for son Ranbir Kapoor as to exactly after 15 days after his film Anjaana Anjaani hits the theatre, Do Dooni Chaar is slated to release on the 8th of October. Now, being a loyal loving child Ranbir wants to help mom dad in their movie promotion and stuff like that, but apparently he don't have much of a chance due to his professional commitment with his movie Anjaana Anjaani.
It's been 30 long years we have seen the vivacious couple Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh onscreen. Though we had seen a glimpse of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh recently when they played a cameo in Saif's Love Aaj Kal, but nothing like a full fledged movie was on the cards till Do Dooni Chaar. The movie promises to be a gratifying family comedy that brings together Bollywood's good old lover boy of the 70's and 80's Rishi Kapoor and his co-star turned love of his life turned wife Neetu Kapoor in this Walt Disney's distributed Bollywood family adventure produced by Planman Motion Pictures.
Do Dooni Chaar is the story of the middleclass guy Duggal and his untiring attempt in coping with the fast, new India Shining. It's hilarious, factual and gratifying. We all have a Duggal inside us. Do Dooni Chaar makes us see the Duggal in us with the atypical chance to express amusement at ourselves.
Now where does this leave Ranbir Kapoor and his movie Anjaana Anjaani? Ranbir on a professional level will promote Anjaana Anjaani for sure but will he be able to do the same for Do Dooni Chaar? Ranbir is perceptively attached to Do Dooni Chaar evidently because his parents would be onscreen after 30 long years and he being a prominent Bollywood actor and a good, loving, loyal, responsible son would be attached to Do Dooni Chaar. But, at the same time being a professional actor that he is, he is professionally inclined towards his movie AnjaanaAnjaani. There comes the dilemma that which movie should Ranbir promote as he has his work cut out for that the time-gap between the two movies is less. It is imperative that his loyalties lie with both the films.
Do Dooni Chaar's music launch is tentatively slated on the 26th of September, it would be interesting to see if son Ranbir would attend the music launch as he would be preoccupied with the post-production of his movie Anjaana Anjaani.
Well all said and done, let's hope Anjaana Anjaani will reach the pinnacle of success like its promos. Can't wait to see Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh spark magic on the silver screen one more time.
