A train explosion in the vicinity of Santa Clarita. A person on a motorcycle killed a man handcuffed to a briefcase. The anti-terrorist cell headed by Erin Driscoll, investigating the explosion that link Sharek with Tomas, a Turkish terrorist preview in town. Jack, who works for the Defence Minister James Heller, maintains a serious relationship with Audrey Raines, daughter of the minister. While Jack Bauer has an appointment with Erin budget issues, a computer scientist and friend of Chloe noticed that the Internet is pirated by a server Arabic. At the same time and with the help of Jack, the cell puts his hand on Sharek. While the cell is reluctant to talk about the terrorist, Jack decides to do it.

In a train, a man is drinking his coffee. It seems very suspicious and looks around him. When a man seems too close, it is about to draw his weapon. We realize that this man has his right hand handcuffed to a briefcase. Meanwhile, the train driver was also drunk his coffee when he saw off a truck placed in the middle of railroad tracks. It then brakes abruptly but struck the vehicle head-on and caught fire while the man with the briefcase trying to escape. A masked man watching the scene a few feet away, climbs onto his motorcycle and rushes to the remains of the train. A young woman asks him for help but there is not more attention. He is the man with the briefcase and kills him with a revolver before you grab the briefcase and leave on a motorcycle.

At the anti-terrorist cell, Chloe O'Brian announced that Sarah Gavin of wanted suspects, Tomas Sherek, was seen the night before in Los Angeles. He is accused of belonging to terrorist organizations in Istanbul and have implemented several suicide bombings last summer. Sarah Chloe learns that information fell in the morning about the possibility of a terrorist attack by a Turkish group. But Time (0800) does not fit with time on the East Coast where the attack was to take place, because it is already 10:00 there. Chloe thinks that the attack could take place on the West Coast and then within the hour. Meanwhile, Erin Driscoll, the new director of the Unit is on the phone in his office with a man informing him of the train bombing. Erin reminds him that this matter is subject to the authority of the Cell. Erin brings Chloe in her office and tells him the facts: a truck loaded with explosives blew up a train in Santa Clarita.

Chloe is therefore part of the information found by Erin Sarah on a bombing at 08:00 but she noted that it occurred one hour earlier. Then she tells him of the presence of Tomas Sherek on American soil. Erin asks Chloe to coordinate with the Division for research on the site of the attack and the burden of collecting information on Sharek before the briefing. Erin learns surprise that Jack Bauer and the Department of Defense to send their appointment with her. Chloe tells us that between the previous season and this one, Erin has returned Jack Cell.

There is then the briefing led by Curtis Manning says he is likely to be involved in the Sharek train bombing. He and Erin think it will quickly seek to leave the country, hence the importance of airport surveillance provided by Edgar Stiles. A small adjacent word is created between him and Chloe, her supervisor, believing that Edgar is not applied fairly and that he speaks too softly. Sarah informs its side for any contacts with Sharek. Erin gives the order to transfer all information to the Division. At the end of the briefing, Chloe retains Erin him speak again of this discrepancy that the scheduling titillating. Erin seems to mock them and asked to concentrate on finding Sharek.

In a hotel room, we found Jack and Audrey Raines discussing the return of Jack the Cell. The latter said he understood and no longer want to Erin who does not want a former drug addict in his team. Jack admits he preferred his work at the Department of Defense, he will no longer work on the ground as in the past. Audrey and Jack approaching both embrace. He said he had never managed to re-take that kind of relationship with a woman since the death of his wife Teri. Audrey was flattered. Jack would like to express their relationship to James Heller, Defense Minister and father of Audrey, but it fears that it will react badly, considering it still involved with Paul Raines, her husband, despite their separation. Audrey tells him to be in love with him, Jack lowered his head and smiled. Jack exits. The appointment is given in the lobby.

In the street, Sharek is on the phone with a man praising his work. At the other end, a family with the father (the man on the phone), his wife and their son, Behrooz. The man is worried for his son and confided to his wife, he thinks that it continues to see his American girlfriend named Debbie against their consent. His mother offers him speak, but her husband rejects his offer, preferring to deal with it. The man turns on the TV while the wife called their son to breakfast, the latter being on the phone.

When it finally comes down, his father asked him to whom he telephoned. Behrooz replied that he was with a classmate, but his father did not believe him and accuses him of continuing to attend what Debbie Behrooz altogether denied. But his father read his mail and knows it. He reiterates to his son about not seeing her. Behrooz seeks help from his mother's eyes. He finally bowed. On television, the first information on the attack railway are disseminated. The man said to be in time for the next steps. A kit should arrive home by little thanks to Sharek and man has it that her son Behrooz who brought to the hangar because it is the safest way. His parents remember that we are fortunate to have been chosen to change the face of the world and they must not fail.
