Nowadays, the underground arsenal of bodybuilding is added with antiasthmatics (Clenbuterol) drugs (including Clenbuterol) that are usually taken to arrest (stop) an asthma attack. Experiments in rats confirm the anabolic effect of antiasthmatics, but the fact of experiments in laboratory animals is not enough to confidently state: antiasthmatics increase muscle mass in humans too. Animals and humans have much in common, and all must agree, a rat is not a human. There were cases when the same chemical agents affected humans and experimental animals quite differently. In order to reliably determine whether antiasthmatics (Clenbuterol) are anabolics, experiments involving bodybuilders are needed. The first such study yielded just the opposite results. It looks like Clenbuterol, famous in bodybuilders circles, does not grow muscles, but also is able to destroy muscle tissue directly. Of all antiasthmatics Clenbuterol is the most common. What is the basis of its action? Cells have specific receptors, figuratively speaking, sockets, which fit only one type of plug. In the role of plugs are molecules of different substances, including hormones. With the help of hormones the brain gives to the cells a certain order. For example, in a stressful situation by the brain's order the "excitation hormone" - adrenaline is input into blood. Muscle cells of the heart and lungs are equipped with receptors, "appropriate" for adrenaline as a socket is appropriate for its type of plug. No other molecule is not suitable for the receptor and therefore the risk of a false or random signal is excluded. When a molecule of adrenaline is connected to the receptor, bioelectrical network is closed, and the cell receives a signal about the need of revitalization. As a result, the heart beats faster and exciting processes begin in the lungs.
