We do not have to think twice whether or not we have a role in making our world a better place to live in, for we know in our hearts that each of us has a role that we need to fill in.
As a person, we can control our activities, especially the ones which will be damaging to our environment. Take for example our waste. Instead of throwing it anywhere, we have to keep it at one place and practice segregation. Separate the plastics, paper and those which are rotten, the biodegradable and non biodegradable.
Let us not abuse our environment, illegal logging, forests are turned into farming lands, illegal fishing as well as dynamite fishing is still rampant. The sad truth is that, despite efforts of various groups to preserve and conserve the environment, we are still suffering from the effects of the destruction of the environment. Pollution is rampant so we must lessen our car use as well as the use chemical sprays.
We also need to remind ourselves that the problem of the greenhouse effect is caused by the increasing carbon offset both industrially and individually and the destruction of animal and plant habitat. If all of these happen at the same time, we are all doomed. How can we help the environment? By starting to practice conservation of energy, practice and live through the green environment way and help one another to create a safe and clean environment.
