This is a system which aims to reduce and hopefully eliminate the greenhouse gases or the noxious gases which are being emitted to the atmosphere. This system is actually a form of regulatory tax. Well, somebody has to be responsible for the carbon tax to provide for the credits portion of the carbon credits system. This way, the carbon emissions of each company or country is properly compensated for. Thus, we are giving back to the environment.
