Workers who have completed electrician training courses are sure to be needed at some stage in the construction of the complexes, which are grouped together under the Mersey Care Development Programme banner.
The project will be led by Northern Irish contractors Farrans and Heron Brothers, with the companies forming a joint venture for the purposes of the initiative.
Farrans is part of the Northstone group of firms, which employs about 60,000 people across the globe and has carried out healthcare contracts before, such as The Bradbury Centre and The Knockbreda Centre in Belfast.
