NAVTEQ announced that it is currently working on a new beta program that is run privately. Beta program is the next street level image generation solution that provides customers in the private beta a chance to see features that come to NAVTEQ products in the future.

beta program participants are given feedback that NAVTEQ says it needs to improve services ahead of the full roll out to all clients. Street-level picture of the program will be available to the public in early 2011.

beta program participants have access to the source of the sample images, 3D image overlays, detailed maps and POI interface with tech support to use the feature. JourneyView provides 360-degree system of images associated with NAVTEQ maps and POI content.
