subject: Fiestaware Just For You [print this page]

Fiestaware is a line of ceramic dishware which is characterized by beautiful colors. The products are manufactured by Homer Laughlin China Company, but they became famous as Fiestaware. The first Fiesta ware was designed back in 1930 and a few years later the pieces were introduced in department stores. As times changed, new items were added and old ones were redesigned.

Fiestaware has the advantage that they are sold individually. This was innovative and became a great advantage as customers do not have to get the whole collection or set but could get some items and try them. Moreover, there was no need to spend too much as you could start a collection and buy items as time progressed. This made Fiesta ware very popular.

Fiesta ware was introduced in 1930 and became popular in those days. Although it was not the first line to have colors, it was evident that it was the first successful line that had colors. The different colors and the fact that they were sold individually made them very popular and well known to a medium household. Their impact was big as they gained their way to mass production.

Apart from being able to add a happy note to your table by using color, the other great advantage is that you can mix and match plates. You can buy two white plate and two black plates and create a set based on contradiction. You can have all plates in one color and all dessert plates in another color being contra or complimenting it. You can implement any idea you have and see how much fun it is to set a table. The collections have anything you might need. They include plates, bowls, cereal bowls, mugs, creamers, milk pitchers, vases, teapots, trays and the list goes on to suit any table.

The first five colors that appeared were red, blue, green, yellow and ivory. Soon after the success of these items, more colors were added and others were replaced. Rose, gray, forest, turquoise, white, black and apricot were added as time passed and the company went through its ups and downs. The items were also popular among collectors who search for pieces manufactured in the earlier times with colors that are not used any more. There are also color lines that are limited editions. Chocolate is the latest color issued and will only be available for a limited time and in a limited number of pieces. Sapphire was sold exclusively by one department store only and ivory was re-launched to recreate the elegance of earlier times. The raspberry collection was made to celebrate the company's anniversary and there also many holiday pieces in holiday colors that can capture the mood and spirit of Christmas.
