This is a terrible ideal that will make you fail at putting no matter what putting style you choose.
But the truth is that constructing a putting stroke is like piecing together a puzzle. All the parts must fit together to make the picture perfect putting swing. Jamming a putter, putting grip, putting routine, putting setup and putting technique together, conversely, causes a picture perfect disaster.
