Of course, this is the source of all faith, extremely lacking in society today. The objective view of the truth in the science of creation is the purpose of this continuing observation of common sense.
The second day one thing takes place, most likely the most important concerning the Earth's ability to sustain life. After all, the Earth exists in the solar system already, this taking place on day one. The ignition of the Sun and the rotation of Earth are perfect and have optimum balance. However, tremendous amounts of radiation are being emitted and there is no protection from it or other celestial attacks; therefore it only common sense that the Creator would provide protection. It is a self-evident necessity that this must happen or nothing further can happen. The Earth needs an atmosphere.
The firmament, the "separation of the waters", is the focus of development. With research of several commentaries and studies, repeated reiteration of the controversy of the firmament and the source of the waters is prominent. This debate is not the focus of desire for this writing. Rather that the logical flow of creation dictates that an atmosphere must be put in place at this time for life and further development to take place is. The choice of how to describe this act is non-consequential. The Bible chooses firmament with its translation to English and that is as good as any.
To encapsulate the Earth with a protective barrier is a complex undertaking. There has to be concern of the future developments. A predetermination of the harmony of science is a portion of the calculations joining the conversion of the Suns alpha particles to energy while protecting from its high radiation. Another benefit of this barrier is evident today as we look at the scared surface of the moon. Most meteors perish in the protective layer, called the atmosphere, the firmament.
The science flows from the Bible with creation's explanation. This is the process without question. The consideration is, at the time of its description is this knowledge available to the intellect of the men doing the writing.
