Painting took a significant place in Eastern art along with Western art as a way of expressing spiritual ideas. The structure of painting depends upon one's perception and way of representing the intensity in mind. The ideology of a successful painter is highly practical. As an example, a painter can consider any blue as a blue color including Paris blue, indigo, ultramarine and cobalt etc. Moreover, colors derive the actual meaning of a painting and make it a subjective one.
Unlike music and dance, a painter has a better chance of conveying his message to the audience because the painting stays for a longer time as compared to the moves of acting and dancing. Painting can actually speak to the audience of an artist by means of the colors, textures and tones used within the painting's frame.
In the modern era, artists have begun to include pieces of work, like collage, in the paintings extension which, otherwise, is not considered to be a painting in real sense. Similarly, earlier in 1829, the first photograph was produced which somewhat led to the loss of the historic purpose of painting i.e. depicting the observable world. So, it can be concluded that modern changes in the art has resulted in the loss of its old and historic values.
