subject: Limitations Of Ultra Mobile Computing [print this page]

Ultra mobile computing has reached a level that has never been imagined. Nowadays we have everything we can think of in super small sizes, from wearable computers to ultra small personal computers. With only one device, we can listen to our favorite songs, watch our favorite videos, carry our family pictures and follow the GPS coordinates. The list goes on, but still new things are coming in the market and people are using them.

Even though we are obviously in the century of technology, much are still needed to be done. There are still many downsides that have to be studied in order to get the solution. For example, you can consider about the bandwidth. Because of the low bandwidth, the connection with the internet is often lost in many unpopular areas. This is something experts should working on, and I believe they are doing.

With the development of new technologies, you can now do most of the computer works thorough these devices, and for that, it will be possible for you do these jobs from anywhere. This is even easier with the internet connection which is now available with most of the ultra mobile computers. These devices support both Wi-Fi and GPRS for the internet as well as other connection settings.

Because of the internet connectivity, it is even possible to use these devices as a GPS monitor. You can get live information about your current location and use that if you are lost to get into a direction. There are some other important uses of these gadgets including webcam, memory card reader, finger print reader and music player.

Many of these devices have a touch screen interface to reduce the space. Sometimes, a stylus is used and some are totally finger based. But no matter which one is used, the device can be controlled by the touch. Some of them have few keys for doing critical works. Many even come with a fully compact keyboard.
