subject: One Of The Best Pro Football Teams - The Dallas Cowboys [print this page]

Without doubt, the Dallas Cowboys are a legend among pro football teams. They have been dubbed "America's Team", and are estimated to be valued the highest of all football teams in the entire NFL. They have always been a successful, winning team, and have garnered a huge fan following not just in Texas, but everywhere in the world because of their spirit and team talent.

In 1960, the Dallas Cowboys officially became part of the NFL, but only as an expansion. Once their games started to take off and prove the team's talent, they really got taken seriously. They've won five Super Bowls and had 20 winning seasons, which set the record in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys aren't just a one time win kind of team; they can play and they can win over and over again.

Throughout its time in the NFL, Dallas has also been in 14 championship games, which is beyond what any other team in the NFL has seen. They've also been in an entire eight Super Bowls, and are rated by fans and enthusiasts - and of course the NFL - as one of the best pro teams of all time.

Luck isn't what's made the team such a success, though. They've had players like Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, and Troy Aikman among their team members, which has made a big impact in the team's overall rate of success. These are players who are famous both for their time with the team itself but also are legendary football players.

The Cowboys have had so many fantastic players that they created a ring of honor which puts top players and contributors to the team's success in their own honorary circle. This means coaches and enthusiasts who've made donations of some kind.

The Cowboys didn't actually reach their pinnacle of success until roughly 1980, as they're much more recent than a lot of older teams with richer history. But in 1980, things started to take off. Troy Aikman was drafted to the team as quarterback, and many players were chosen that essentially helped the Cowboys completely rebuild. Of course drama and interpersonal conflicts had their share among this team, but they overcame their problems and went on to become one of the best teams of the NFL.

A lone star is the logo of the team, which is also the logo of the entire state of Texas. The star is white against a dark blue background. This logo is a symbol of unity and power that has kept the Cowboys together even through all the odds. This is the main reason they have become the pinnacle of success in the NFL.

The Cowboys also played in several different stadiums throughout their time, but now actually have their own stadium in Texas, known as the Cowboys stadium. This is where all their home games are played now. This team has earned their place in history and that's why this stadium was built: to represent America's Team and its spirit of power and resilience, which is such a big part of football throughout the ages.
