subject: Buses for College Students [print this page] For many freshmen who are not allowed to take a car up to school for the first year it makes it a little harder for them to get around. Their main transportation comes from a bus or from friends. Of course taking a bus from your apartment to your class is a simple task to do, but what if you wanted to take a trip back home sometime? How would you be able to get back home besides putting the burden on your parents having to make the trip up to get you and then having to make the trip back to bring you back to school? This can seem like a lot of wasted gas.
The alternative to doing this is by riding a coach bus back home. I started doing this my freshmen year and it could not have worked out better. I took RedCoach and went from Atlanta to Miami. I was able to have a ride from school to home without having to have the parents come up and pick me up. Riding on the bus was actually pretty fun too. They had huge reclining leather seats that had pop out foot rests. The coach also had other students on it as well which was nice to have someone to talk to during that long ride.
Riding the coach bus was not at all like riding the school bus to school. I would highly recommend it to any student or individual needing to get to a destination.
