subject: Want To Travel In Style? Check Out These 4 Cars That Will Make You Stand Out From The Crowd [print this page]

In its most basic form, we learn to drive so that we can travel from A to B in a car quickly and safely.

In a more elaborate form, however, some learn to drive with the aim of travelling in pure style and if you're one of these people and are looking for a new car, check out these 4 cars that will ensure heads turn when you drive by.

1. Aston Martin V12 Vantage - first showcased on 11 December 2007 and entering Aston Martin dealers in 2009, the Vantage is one of Aston Martin's most notable cars to date.

A development on the ever popular V8 Vantage, aside from the obvious difference of a larger engine (this model takes the V12 engine from Aston Martin's DBS), the newer model has a moveable rear-wing to aid with aerodynamics, carbon ceramic brakes and is overall lighter. Combine all of these aspects together and you get one of the faster cars to come out of Aston Martin dealers ever - the V12 Vantage can reach 60 mile per hour in 4.1 seconds, according to official data from the company.

2. Jaguar XJ - originally manufactured by Jaguar over four decades ago in 1968 when it was one of the company's most popular and famous cars, the company are now onto their twelfth XJ model - and it's arguably their most stunning to date.

Officially known as the XJ X351, it is available with 3 engine choices, including a 5 litre supercharged V8 and features a whole host of fantastic design aspects that give the car a beautiful sleek look, including cat claw tail lights and a full length sun roof.

With prices starting at 53,900 pounds and rising to 91,000 pounds (without taking into consideration any additional extras), the new XJ's aren't cheap cars, but they're worth every penny spent.

3. Porsche 911 GT3 - developed initially for racing, several street legal versions of the GT3 have been produced over the years and the latest, unveiled in February 2006, is based on the 997 platform and looks simply stunning.

Designed with a 3.6 litre engine and in such a way aerodynamically that the car produces no uplift, only down (which means that as the car has more pressure applied to it, it grips the road better and can therefore travel faster and handle better), the latest 911 GT3 can achieve a top speed of 193 miles per hour and Road and Track reported the car could reach 60 miles per hour in less than 4 seconds.

4. BMW 635d Sport - the BMW 6 series range of cars have been created since 1976 and although they have almost all gained major popularity, it is the latest models that many critics are claiming to be the best in various respects and the 635d Sport offers a great taste of the whole range.

Sold with a twin turbo 3 litre diesel engine, the 635d has been on the market since 2007 and whilst it's sold primarily in its hard top version, there is a beautiful convertible available for an additional 6,000 pounds.
