This is almost organic.
From the beginning of the bazaar, Android app NDP was an experiment, so the NDP to the test water from the open-source collaboration.
I do not know how fast would grow Android platform and what the consequences to do it. Last six months show us the amazing trajectory of Android, and that our audience gravitates toward this rate. Because the application is released in December, we have seen amazing growth, and now more than 100,000 people rely on this new platform every month.
In the spirit of the Android operating system, application code, we decided that public radio NPR. We believe that perfectly matches the mission of public service NDP. Public service media needs of our audience have a stake in our products, open source projects and are a means to better connect to our sites.

If youre a programmer, you know what it all means. If you find a leisure break to cool things just because it is your passion, then put your energy to the noble cause. Spend some time rummaging through our application. Not only helping your local NPR member station, but you will have the opportunity to work with the developer at Google, Michael Frederick. Michael was responsible for most of the work in building applications for Android and the NDP is ready to engage with anyone contributing code to the project. Thanks to the generosity of Michael this project is off to a good start. But we do not want to stop there.
