Justiniano Borgoo Castaeda (September 5, 1836 January 27, 1921) was a Peruvian soldier and politician who briefly occupied the Presidency of Peru during 1894.

Borgoo was born in Trujillo, Peru. He was succeeded as President by Andrs Avelino Cceres. He died in Lima, Peru.

Javier Prez de Cullar y de la Guerra (b. in Lima) is a Peruvian diplomat who served as the fifth Secretary-General of the United Nations from January 1, 1982 to December 31, 1991. He studied in Colegio San Agustn of Lima, and then at Pontificia Universidad Catlica del Per. In 1995, he ran unsuccessfully against Alberto Fujimori for President of Peru. He was President of the Council of Ministers, as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs from November 2000 until July 2001, during the turbulent period following Fujimori's resignation over corruption charges. In September 2004, he stepped down from his position as Peru's Ambassador to France, where he formerly resided. He currently resides in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. With the death of Kurt Waldheim in June 2007, he became the oldest former Secretary General of the United Nations.

Yma Sumac was a noted Peruvian soprano. In the 1950s, she was one of the most famous proponents of exotica music and became an international success, based on the merits of her extreme vocal range, which was said to be "well over four octaves" and was sometimes claimed to span even five octaves at her peak.

Boris Vallejo (born January 8, 1941) is a Peruvian-born American painter. He emigrated to the United States in 1964, and he currently resides in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He frequently works with Julie Bell, his wife, painter, and model.

Vallejo works almost exclusively in the fantasy and erotica genres. His hyper-representational paintings have graced the covers of dozens of science fiction paperbacks and are featured in a series of best-selling glossy calendars. Subjects of his paintings are typically gods, monsters, and well-muscled male and female barbarians engaged in battle. Some of his male figures were modeled by Vallejo himself, and many of his later female characters were modeled by his wife. His latest works still retain heavy fantasy elements, but lean more towards the erotic rather than pure fantasy themes.

Vallejo has been named as the artist guest of honor at Renovation, the 69th World Science Fiction Convention.

Jaime Yzaga Tori is a former professional tennis player from Peru.

Yzaga played on the professional tour from 1984 to 1996.

Yzaga reached career-high rankings of World No. 18 in singles and World No. 54 in doubles (both in 1989). He was a quarter-finalist at the Australian Open in 1991, and at the US Open in 1994, reaching the final eight by defeating a dominant Pete Sampras in 5 sets, in the previous round. Incidentally he had earlier been the first ever opponent of Pete Sampras in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament, in the first round of the U.S. Open in 1988, also winning that match in 5 sets. Since retiring as a player, Yzaga has served as captain of Peru's Davis Cup team.

Jenny Lidback (b. in Lima,Peru)is an American professional golfer.

Lidback attended Texas Christian University and Louisiana State University.

Lidback's rookie season on the LPGA Tour was 1989. Her only win on the Tour came in 1995 at one of the major championships, the du Maurier Ltd. Classic. She had her best finish on the money list in the same year, placing 21st. She retired from tournament golf after the 2003 season.

Silvana Arias (b. in Lima) is a Peruvian actress. She also holds a degree in fashion design. Arias got her start on telenovela series in Peru and Miami for the Hispanic market before earning her first role on American television. From May 17, 2004 through August 15, 2007 she played Paloma Lopez-Fitzgerald on the NBC television soap opera Passions. When Passions moved from NBC to DirecTV, Arias decided to leave the part. It has since been played by Hannia Guillen. She also portrayed Jimena Arismendi in the telenovela Gata salvaje .Now she is in Perro Amor playing Veronica Jessica Murillio
