subject: What makes a great waiter/waitress? [print this page]

Dining in at a luxurious restaurant is expected to be a great night for the guests. Although, sometimes it can be an aggravating experience when given a poor waiter or waitress. It can lead to a head ache from stress when the food is brought out wrong or cold when the waiter is not doing their job correctly. The individual that was looking for a night off from cooking is now having make sure things get done correctly. A waiter or waitress is truly solely responsible for a make or break it to that guest coming back in again.

The first step a good waiter will do is welcomes all of his guests to his restaurant. He will try and make them feel at home the best he can. He will also be very personable so that the guests can talk to him as if they were good friends of his. By being personable, guests will feel more welcome to choose more out of the menu. There might even be a greater chance at the guests purchasing desert when the waiter has a good interaction going with them.

It is very important that the waiter also gets the right information down for their order. If the order comes out wrong it is his fault. He will also receive less of a tip because the group had to wait longer for their food to come. Staying with the guests a little while to make sure that all of the food came out exactly how they wanted it is also great to do. This way if they do not like it they can let you know right then and there as opposed to you coming back later to find something wrong. Another good habit is always checking your table repeatedly to refill drinks or answer any other questions.

There are many great Orlando Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant, but to make sure your guest's night out is great make sure to give them that great customer service. Poor customer service or hospitality can lead to a night full of headaches for not only yourself but for your guests too. Do a great job the first time so they your guests will come back and remember your name.
