subject: Chinas 60-mile long jam ends [print this page] Heres a little ray of sunshine, if you travel on the highway in the G110 China . Massive, 60-mile long traffic jam that apparently reduced due to the maintenance of roads between Beijing and Zhangjiaku has all but evaporated. NBC News decided to get down and dirty by the Highway heading to the victims to see the mayhem for yourself, only to find that the Chinese government effectively disperses glue.
From what I found news agency, G110 is popular among drivers of trucks hauling coal from the illegal mine in the village in Beijing. There are a lot bigger, faster way to get goods from the capital, but these roads are heavily monitored and charge drivers based on their load and distance of travel. Until recently, the G110 does not have these problems.
But traffic started to go up the stack, the government quickly mounted a series of toll booths and weigh stations to watch whats going on up and coming area. Now, the traffic flows freely along the road, even though the original roadwork is not to end until mid-September.
