subject: Conference Speaker Phones Will Never Leave The Business Environment [print this page]

A conference speaker phone is found in most offices. At least one room in most office settings is used solely for the purpose of having conferences. It is where the employees of the business meet to have meetings. Typically these specialty rooms will house at least one phone that can be used to contact folks that can not be physically present at the meeting but are still a necessary member of the meeting.

It made it possible for people around the world to participate in business meetings. Most companies used these forms of communication to make deals with clients and for information purposes. Long before computers and video conferencing was even thought of the conference speaker phone was in use, as it is still today. These types of phones made a huge impact on industry when they were first invented.

Anyone that is sitting in the same room as this type of phone can hear and speak to the person on the other end.

Initially these types of phones sounded a bit grainy when the speaker function was used. There was a terrible echo on the phone that made it hard to have a conversation, however today with fiber optic technology the sound is crystal clear and the person on the other end of the phone sounds as if they are right in the room with the rest of the participants of the conversation.

Another great feature is that the conference speaker phone of today allows multi line users. That means simply that not every member has to be in one room with only one user on the other end of the phone. Up to twenty people can call in and participate in the conference or meeting, and they can all be in twenty different locations! This is a perfect option for today's global market.

Although there has been great leaps and bounds in communication the last twenty years or so, a conference speaker phone is still widely in use. They are simple to use and sometimes much more reliable than other more modern forms of conferencing.
