subject: How Conversational Hypnosis Attracts People To You [print this page] If you feel that you need to have more friends but don't know how to attract people to you, then you may want to give the basic points of conversational hypnosis a try. This doesn't mean, however, that you will have the power of making people fall in love with you or do anything that you want; it just means that you have the means of convincing people to do things without being controversial!
Hypnosis can never control a person fully; however, it can appeal to their subconscious mind to agree to something they already have feelings about. You can never sway a person to do something against their will, since a single rational question like, "What am I doing?" will snap them out of their hypnotic trance.
And since you cannot control minds, it also follows that they won't agree with you every single time. You'll have a better chance of convincing them if they share even just a shred of your convictions but even then, it's not foolproof.
It starts with acknowledging what they have to say. An out-and-out negation of anyone's thoughts or opinions puts their rational mind on guard duty and you won't have a chance of appealing to their subconscious. But if you agree, then their reasoning is at rest because you don't present a threat.
Note that acknowledging the fact they spoke isn't the same as acknowledging their opinions. For example, "Yes, I hear what you're saying and ..." Did you agree to an opinion? No, you didn't.
The magic hook there is the word "and." This allows you to insert your opinion and steer the conversation to where you want it. Follow up the first part of the sentence with, "and I feel that approaching the problem from this point would be a good solution." You've just planted a seed in the person's subconscious.
Then you can start off the hypnotic trance by putting their subconscious into overdrive by starting a mental movie, somewhat like a daydream which in itself is a mild hypnotic trance. It can start with any type of question but the most common is "How would you feel ...?"
So, I can hear you thinking that this is impossible and I want to assure you that it just takes constant practice and nothing more. How would you feel if you could persuade more people to think the same way you do?
