TAMARA MELLON was given a new rankTAMARA MELLON was given a new rank. The prior promoter and chief officer of Jimmy Choo has appointed herself to next title at the luxury goods firm she started in nineteen ninety six and will now be well-known as beginner and chief creative officer.

Having another assignment Mellon will proceed to supervise the Jimmy Choo brand, including product creation, public relations and block advertising. Sandra Choi will continue in her title as creative director with responsibility for accessory creation and is subordinated to Mellon and CEO Joshua Schulman.

"This announcement acknowledges the major contribution that Tamara makes to Jimmy Choo's trade name image and product design. This new position is the best consideration of Tamara Mellon's amenabilities and fulfilments at Jimmy Choo," responds Schulman. "Jointly with Jimmy Choo's creative staff, she has been at the foreground of developing good and marketing, which has been cause of increase of the brand name."

Jimmy Choo was purchased by TowerBrook Capital Partners, the international equity firm, in February two thousand and seven in a deal which saw the company appraised at one hundred and eighty five million dollars.

The brand took Designer of the Year two thousand and eight at the British Fashion Awards.

Tamara Mellon follows in the footsteps of Burberry's Christopher Bailey who, at the end of last year, also took the role of chief creative officer.

JIMMY CHOO is keeping step with UGG Australia to develop a capsule collection of women's sheepskin footwear.

To be unveiled in October this year (though, incidentally the time presses, we could really deal with them now), the line is founded on the typical UGG Australia boot model in aggregate with the feature design details of the Jimmy Choo brand.

"Apart from Jimmy Choo, UGG Australia is the only other footgear I have in my wardrobe. It make us happy to have created a special capsule that joins the best of two brands - the legendary comfort of UGG with the personality of Jimmy Choo," announces Tamara Mellon, head of Jimmy Choo.

Featuring five styles in manifold tinge variants, the collection will have a sole and limited delivery - at a selection of department stores, as well as each trade name's websites and, of course, Jimmy Choo shops.

"We are happy to be capable to offer the UGG and Jimmy Choo consumers a unique series of boots that we think our customers will covet," expresses Connie X. Rishwain, president, UGG Australia.

What goods To Purchase

OUR wardrobe has taken a slightly more hoydenish turn today with trouser and blouse combinations. And we have gratified a slightly on the boot front too. Videlicet Cloe, Jimmy Choos and a cool couple of boots to walk around in from Office. Combine that with a Kenzo handbag and you're wonderful to move.

Summer style is not finished without bag kinds. It is a simple transitional item that can switch your look from fortuitous and daytime -suitable to dainty and suitable for the evening party - so we've discovered a couple that have caught our eye in today's VOGUE.COM Loves round-up, as well as a pair of fresh retro shades, and searched a quite nice dress and shoe options.
