Alumni are the association of the former students of the university. They usually organize their activity around one university or department of the university, however, these organizations may also unity people of one country. The alumni have their own newspapers and magazines; they often provide social events for its members. These organizations also provide services to help alumni with supporting connection with their educational institution and with fellow graduates. The aim of such organizations is to improve the quality of education for students of the colleges and universities.

So, what is the role of alumni in higher education?

1.Needless to say that alumni are the first and the largest source of contribution to education. They know what skills and abilities are needed for a line of work, thus, they offer valuable changes that should be done in order to improve the quality of education and to prepare better specialists.

2.They provide educational institutions with necessary information about the requirement of a profession that should be taken into consideration in order to update the courses of study.

3.Alumni associations may provide educational institutions with books and other types of learning resources. They can also organize special courses for starters.

4.The alumni may organize business forums lectures, exhibitions, conferences and programs to enhance students employment,

5.They also provide the institutions with equipment, machinery and other necessary materials. Apart from technical support to colleges and universities, these organizations create internet web sites where students can gen necessary information and share their advice.

In general, the alumni organizations play a significant role in the improvement of higher education and in supporting young graduates. They make a big contribution in the enhancement of the value of the educational institution systems.
