subject: The Reason Why Consider Having An Air Mattress [print this page]

Buying an air bed can be the best option for someone who likes to have company stay over their house but does not have a lot of space. If you don't have a guest room in your house, you can store an air bed away when not in use and it doesn't take up that much space. All you need is a big enough space on the floor to lay the inflated mattress when you need to use it.

A lot of people complain of a sore back when they sleep in a strange bed, mostly due to uneven springs and hard spots. Air beds have neither, and are therefore much more likely to provide your guests with a night of good sleep.

It can be tedious inflating a mattress with a foot pump; not everyone wants such a vigorous workout right before bed. Some people may want to consider purchasing a model that comes with an electric pump he it's automatic, doesn't tire you out, and inflates the bed much quicker.

Air beds come in a variety of sizes and thicknesses. Go to your local mattress store and test one out before you buy; if you want to be sneaky and smart, test one out in person then go online and buy the same model for a much lower price.

Air beds are much less likely to get infested by pests. Bedbugs, mites, and other creepy crawlies can't settle in on polyurethane material, so that's one thing you don't have to worry about.

The hardness and depth of your inflatable mattress can be determined by how much air you put into it. People have different comfort levels, and air beds cater to those differences.

If you have a couple sharing an air bed and one prefers the bed hard while the other prefers it soft, some models actually have different chambers within the bed to differentiate hardness between the two sides. Each side can be tailored to the liking of whoever is sleeping on it; this leads to less arguing and more sleeping.

Some inflatable beds feel better than regular mattresses. The big-name air bed manufacturers, like Aerobed, have done very good jobs designing their wares.
