The graphics are pretty wild. The plane and helicopter selection are awesome. But more on that in a minute.First, I want to talk a little about flight simulation games.In the past few years, flight simulation has gotten pretty advanced. I think that the computers have finally caught up to the game designers imaginations and they make all kinds of things possible like changing weather, amazing graphics and wind turbulence.Some of hot button features of any good flight simulation game are animatronics, graphics and overall convenience. All of which have their price though.Whether your new to flight simulation or not, a favorite of mine is Flight Pro Sim. Flight Sim Pro is a PC game that really delivers in flight experience above and beyond that of it's competitors. You don't need any complicated setups that require additional software, 'addons' and additional components like dashboard clusters and pedals. It's all maintained right there through your keyboard.There are some out there that require more than the standard issue computer parts, but I haven't quite got there yet.In my opinion, one of the best resources pilots and astronauts can have is flight simulation software. In fact, flight simulation is used by both NASA and the RAA Flying School to teach their pilots how to fly! Obviously, those systems are tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars. Flight Pro Sim can give you a lot of the same experiences for a fraction of the price.Getting back to some of the features and niceties of Flight Pro Sim, there are over 20,000 airports and 100+ aircraft you can choose from to make your journey. That include helicopters too! I still dream of flying a helicopter someday. I've got my pilot's license but being in a helicopter is a different sensation entirely.One of the things I like best about Flight Pro Sim is how 'deep' their airplane selection goes. You can choose to fly one of the Wright style planes or some of the older military planes, which is very cool.Probably the coolest things is the terrain though. Flight Pro Sim has some of the most unbelievable terrain I've ever seen. The airplane simulation game has utilized US Defense Mapping and NASA information and it's apparent in the quality of the simulation.As icing on the cake, Flight Pro Sim uses time zones, lunar patterns and changing weather to really add an element of realism to the game. Take off and you may be experiencing a completely different plane ride when you're ready to land!Bottom line, if you want to get into flight simulation, check out Flight Pro Sim. It's a rock solid game that'll keep you entertained for hours!
