subject: After Darkess, Light [print this page] The Berean Light Tribute For GodThe Berean Light Tribute For God. For The Lord. For the Holy Spirit. For His People.
This tribute is not to an ending but rather to a beginning, a beginning of joy, a beginning of abundance and life. We believe in miracles, a new birth and resurrection after death. We believe in the power of love. Love that gave the Sacrifice, Love that laid down His life willingly, and Love that gave us a Helper with promise to never leave us or forsake us.
Post Tenebras Lux-After Darkness Light. So many of us stagger and stumble in darkness, not having any sense of direction or purpose. We pursue life with abandon as if there is no reason for it. We live in the temporal and often die in that condition. All of our striving, all of our achievements fade in the darkness. It doesn't have to be that way. In fact it was never intended to be that way. Our purpose and our direction are found in the Word of God. This present darkness brought forth by our earthly father Adam has been redeemed. A Miracle After Darkness. Light.
When Adam brought forth the curse of death for his sin we were cast into darkness, separated from communion with our creator, told that we will die, suffering the consequences of our decisions. We were left with our own devices, our own reasoning. After all isn't that the choice (free will) we were given and chose to exercise. Can you imagine the grief and anguish Adam and Eve must have felt after judgment was passed. The defeat, the sense of hopelessness that set in over time, all the emotions that sprang up in the hearts of that first couple had to linger and fester and grow into darkness within them. Centuries of generations came and were gone as a vapor. Toil and sweat, pains and sorrows in child birth... all in darkness.
The serpent was told by Almighty God that "there would be enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." Genesis 3:5 Knowing that his time was short, he set out to manifest his deeds of darkness. But God, spoke forth His first Miracle and set out to bring Light into the world. All praise and glory to the Father of Lights.
The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. Genesis 6:5
Isn't it interesting that we thought we were abandoned when in reality we were always being watched over? Allowed to our own choices we became increasingly evil, so much so it had to be stopped. Isn't it also amazing that there were some people who had hope and acted accordingly?
While the majority continued to live as they pleased some listened to an inward voice, had dreams, and visions and had faith. Could it have been God never left them? But rather watched their actions and their deeds and when the time came saved them with a covenant promise, and a sign, a seal of promise.
"Come Let Us Reason Together"
"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool" Isaiah 1:18
How incredibly awesome! What a loving God! To speak to His people, to reason with them, to pronounce a willingness to forgive, and to provide a means of repentance the forgiveness of sin through confession and sacrifice, their strength had been renewed. Grace upon grace, from one dispensation to the next, revealing His covenant to His people.
"Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. Isaiah 55:7
After Darkness, Light
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8
