The Auto Express awards have recently taken place and Ford will be really chuffed with the fact that their S-Max won Britain's Best MPV' for the third year in a row.
Auto Express is the top-selling weekly motoring magazine and host their new car' awards annually.
The Ford S-Max was first launched in 2006 and just this year has received a refresh' which has clearly helped to enhance the car. It received a new-look interior and exterior, plus a load of high' efficiency' engines and innovative new technologies which include: blind spot alert' and an adjustable speed limiter'.
These technologies will further benefit the model when NCAP launch their advanced' test later this year. This test looks at a whole host of new safety technologies that have been launched over the past year if so
The 7-seater clearly benefited from the new line-up of EcoBoost Petrol engines which ensured that this model stayed ahead of the competition. Fuel efficiency is a big factor these days as the general public are generally more aware about the environmental credentials of their vehicles.
The improved cabin also helped the model to stand out as cabin comfort' is always a high priority when searching for an MPV. Motorists will be eager to ensure that their passengers ride in comfort.
Ford have enjoyed quite a lot of success at these awards as just last year their Ford Fiesta was named the Auto Express Car of the Year' and this year the model claimed the tag of best supermini 2010'.
