subject: Wavy Hair [print this page]

Wavy hair has always been in trend and has escaped the monotony that long straight hair faces. But it is quite striking to notice that women with wavy hair have always wished for straight hair and those women on the other hand have always vowed by the curls! This tussle of choices has existed since eternity, but the upcoming trends in fashion have changed things; wavy hair can be transformed to straight hair and vice versa, even though on a temporary basis.

Wavy hair is very easy to maintain is the epitome of feminine elegance and grace. Wild curls can be easily tamed into a band or beautifully tied with a silk scarf. Interesting hairstyles can also be done up with curly hair ranging from layers to beehive buns. Although easy on maintenance charts, curly hair needs deep conditioning to add bounce and volume to it. Curls look god almost on all structures; while long faces can sport a layered look, round faces can experiment with forehead fringes.

Streaking wavy hair adds an element of fun and takes away the boredom of a single tone throughout. Wavy hair can be easily prone to split ends thus care must be taken while travelling in sun, its better if they are kept tied. To prevent its thinning a trim now and then would be a good idea; this will also add body to the waves. A well done pony tail; short bobs and medium length layers look great in wavy hair.

One should also check the use of leave in conditioners and creams while styling and only the ones with a good repute should be used. Waves can straighten by the use of irons and straight tresses can be converted into curls by the means of curlers, braiding, and rollers and alike. However one must be careful while using hair serum and styling gadgets or visiting an expert for the same should be opted. Perms are also another way of getting waves but are not very safe in the long run.
