subject: What Does Micro Technology Have To Do With Arm Liposuction? [print this page]

Some women are self conscious about having fatty arms and choose to get liposuction of their arms. It is a tricky business, though, removing some fat but not too much. Removing too much fat from the female arm can make the arm appear masculine or even deformed. Success is achieved through the use of tiny micro-cannulas with almost no scarring.

The arms are not one of the common areas where the female stores excessive amounts of fat. They are soft and naturally have a layer of fat, but usually it is other areas of the body that are targeted for liposuction.

The major reason that many women want to get liposuction of the arms is that they do not like how their arms look in short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts.

When the sleeves of shirts are too tight, it can make people notice a fatty arm. In warm weather when people want to go sleeveless, they may feel particularly uncomfortable with fatty arms.

Many people feel embarrassed if others know that they have had liposuction.

The arms are an area of the body that is commonly seen by others on a regular basis, and that's why cosmetic surgeons are trying to develop ways to remove fat without leaving scars.

For this and other areas of the body that are often seen by others, surgeons are now using tools that are incredibly small.

One of the basic tools used in liposuction is the cannula. It is a tube which is inserted into incisions in the isolated area where fat is to be removed.

The cannula is moved around to break fat cells while pumping fluids into the cavity. When fat is properly broken, it is then sucked out through the cannula.

Liposuction cannulas are always small, but the ones used for the arms are tiny. They are small enough to fit through incisions that are one millimeter wide!

The advantage is that the scars leftover are almost impossible to see. They are so small that they are barely visible even immediately after surgery.

This means that a person can have liposuction of the arms without others noticing any marks!

It's important to realize that some fat must be left on a woman's arm. Naturally women have soft, smooth arms. Removing too much fat is unattractive.

Those who have had too much fat removed from their arms look distinctly masculine. In some cases, the arms may even look deformed or unnatural.

A careful balance must be met between making the arms look thinner without making them too thin.
