The whole point of placing plants in certain places in a home is to promote positive energy. One way to help this along is to make sure you keep plants trimmed. Overgrown and disheveled plants bring bad energy. This is also true of the shrubs and trees in an area surrounding your home. Always make sure to stay on top of trimming for this important reason. Never have thorny pants inside your home because of bad luck. Thorny plants, however, do provide a form of of protection when placed outside the home. Make sure to place them a decent distance from the door way for this protection to come about.

If you have some sort of thorny plant in your home, you should be sure to take it outside. Feng Shui beliefs include keeping these types of plants out of the home because they will bring about bad luck. Also, thorny plants are meant to be a form of protection and should be a little distance from the entry way into your home for this reason.

Lots of people arrange fresh flowers in bouquets in their home. These arrangements can be really beautiful. However, according to Feng Shui, the only place these flower arrangements should be placed is in the living room. You should also keep up with the arrangement as well. When the flowers begin to die, they should taken out of your home immediately. Dying flowers mean bad luck and the drawing of negative energy.

In addition to dying flowers comes the belief about dried flowers. Dried flowers are the same as dead flowers. They will bring about terrible luck for those that keep them inside their home. If you like to have eternal arrangements, choose to use only artificial flowers instead.

Many programs and beliefs in the world today focus on the power of positive thinking. What many people do not realize is this is the reinforcement of the positive life force that surrounds all living things.
