Ericsson wanted to create a tool that could engage their clients. They were looking for a simple,
user friendly 10-15 minutes engagement model for its customers. The pre-requisites for the
development of the tool were that it should be something that the customers can use/play at their
ease. Most importantly, the tool should be a reminder of Ericsson's offerings to their customers, of
course, in a subtle way.
Solution: Blue Bus Quiz
Interactive Bees created a simple, usable, web based application for them and it was named as The
Blue Bus Quiz. All it needed was an internet connection and Ericsson's customers could enjoy the
blue bus experience. A login id and password was provided using which they could participate in the
game. They only needed to check the instructions and the demo sections before playing the quiz.
Blue Bus Quiz was developed using an open source PHP Framework, Prado and flash remoting. This
application was Multi-browser compatible. It was a totally dynamic tool, with a robust backend.
It had options to plan the players, the number of questions were customizable, the game is time
bound with features like one can use lifelines.
It had a feature where in any player would be served a different set of questions (reshuffled at the
backend). Once the user has played the complete game the he is shown the result and the time
taken by him.
