Some people feel that they know more than the doctor because of the research they have done. If your doctor is insistent and you disagree with him or her you should meet with another doctor to make sure that you are being taken care of properly.

If the second doctor gives you the same advice that the first doctor gave you abide by the doctors recommendations. The more that you know about what you are doing to your body the better, but sometimes you need to trust your doctor.

You should figure out your target heart rate zone and keep your heart rate in that zone. If your heart rate is above the top of that zone you will be working your body too hard and that can be very dangerous for you.

If you are not reaching your target heart rate your workout will not be worth much of anything. Taking the time to get to know your body and how hard you need to work the better off you will be in your plight to lower your blood pressure.

After you have figured out your activity level you should then work to figure out your eating habits. As you are figuring out your eating habits you have to make sure that you are eating food that is not going to contribute to the problem.

You have to take the time to eat foods that are full of protein and vitamins. The more that you know about what you are eating and what you need to be eating the better off you will be in the long run.

Lowering your blood pressure is something that is absolutely necessary. The more that you know about what you need to do to get your blood pressure down the easier it will be to do exactly that.
