There is nothing worse than beinmg created by an un-organized office or work space. So how would you feel if you could find what you wanted, when you wanted it? Have you ever missed a deadline or appointment just because you forgot to put it somewhere to remind you? There is an easy answer. It's called Home Office Oganization.

Can you freely move around the walk ways in your work area of office? Well, remove any papers or clutter that are on your walk way in your office or work area. If there is office tools or equipment in the walk way, then store it away if it is not needed. The same with any boxes or files that are propped against a wall. You will be surprised by the amount of space that you can create just by performing these first simple actions.

The desk is the main thing in your office that you constantly use, so now take a look at that and all of the items that are on it. So, let's get stuck in and start clearing the desk of all the items on it. Remove everything from your desk including yoru desk drawers and put it into groups on the floor. Place the items into groups according to their relevancy. For instance, pens and stationary in one group etc.

Take any paperwork that you no longer need and trash it. If you are running low on storage for your files and items, then look at acquiring extra. Also try and get a drawer organizer for your stationery items. You can also get bins that will hang onto a wall or over a cubicle. This are great items. Then stick labels onto your drawers and folders as well as shelves and bins, so that you can easily locate papers and items when you need them. If you can, then file your papers and files alphabetically.

Put your stationery together in a group. Then your files in another group, and continue like this until your desk is completely cleared. Trash any paperwork that you no longer. If you do not have enough folders for your existing paperwork or files, then look at purchasing or aquiring more, including oganizers for your drawers where you can order your pens and stationery equipment. Also look into bins that hang to a wall or hook over a wall of a cubicle. Then add relevant labels to your bins, folders, files and shelves so that you can easily and quickly find something when you need it. If you are in the mood and have the time you can also file our documents in alphabetical order.

Your personality and work style is reflected in the look of your office or work area. How organized it looks will tell people a lot about you. A tidy and organize work area tells other people that you are efficient. It will also encourage your colleagues to look at the organization of their own work areas.

Being organised is a very positive attribute.
