The two-day conference and fair on management education--MBA Kaleidoscope--organised by Bulls Eye concluded on Saturday at DAV College, Sector-10. Providing a platform of knowledge, various renowned management institutes like Aryans Business School, Wellingkar, LMT Thapar, SVIET, ISBM and ICFAI participated in the fair.

The fair witnessed around 2500 MBA aspirants turned up to have a deep insight into the management education along with the presence of numerous principals, academicians, education administrators and professionals in the field of education and education marketing personnel's.

The fair addressed the queries of parents, teachers and guardians of aspirants in addition to expert team providing the students with important information regarding approvals, affiliations and recognitions which the students must ensure before taking admission in any course or college.

The event also provided a common platform to the management institutes for disseminating the information regarding the courses available and also to the aspirants through properly guided career counselling. Every year, more than 20,000 aspirants appear in various top-end management entrance tests through CAT, XAT, SNAP, JMET and MAT at Chandigarh.

AGC celebrates Lohri with old age home people: The students, staff and management of Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) on Staurday celebrated Lohri festival with a lot of exuberance and fanfare with the inmates of the city Sector-15 old age home by distributing love along with lohri eatables. AGC chairman Anshu Kataria said that though Lohri has no religious significance but it holds a great social significance and is celebrated as a day of imparting social love to one and all and that is why we wanted to celebrate it with the senior citizens of the city.

It is to be mentioned here that Lohri marks the end of winter on the last day of Paush, and beginning of Magha (around January 12 and 13), when the sun changes its course. It is associated with the worship of the sun and fire and is observed by all communities with different names.

Department of Philosophy to organise seminar: Panjab University's Department of Philosophy is organising two days national seminar on 'Relevance of Philosophy in the Era of Science and Technology' from January 11-12 at ICSSR Complex Seminar Hall. Prof Yashpal, renowned scientist, educationalist and Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, will inaugurate the seminar . Professor Emeritus, Dharmendra Goel from the Department of Philosophy is going to offer keynote address. Dr HP Sah, chairperson, Department of Philosophy, make introductory speech, while Vice Chancellor Prof RC Sobti will preside over the inaugural address.
