subject: Indianapolis Colts Tickets - Peyton Still A Top Option At Qb [print this page]

. Manning isn't the only player on the team ready to have a big fantasy season, however, as guys like Pierre Garcon, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are gaining attention in fantasy leagues. Let's take a look at how the skill players on the Colts stack up for this fantasy season.

Reggie Wayne, Wide Receiver:

After somewhat of a down year in 2008, Wayne reestablished himself as one of the very top receiving options in the NFL in 2009 by grabbing 100 balls for 1,264 yards and 10 touchdowns. Wayne even barely played the last two games of the season and still finished among the receiving leaders in the league. The season also made it the sixth consecutive year in which Wayne has had at least 77 catches and 1,000 yards. With so many other options for Peyton, Wayne probably doesn't have the type of unbelievable potential that guys like Andre Johnson and Randy Moss have, but Wayne is a durable, consistent threat that will get you catches, yards and touchdowns. If you're looking for a safe, nearly elite option, Wayne should be your guy.

Projection: 93 catches, 1,290 yards, 11 touchdowns.

Peyton Manning, Quarterback:

If you don't know that Peyton Manning is one of the very best quarterbacks in the league, you are simply out of your element. Manning consistently ranks among the leaders in the league in QB rating, touchdowns and yards, and 2010 should be no different. The Colts don't run the ball that well, but also don't need to because of Manning's proficiency running the passing attack. There is still a concern that Manning could sit toward the end of the season if the Colts wrap up the division, but the Texans could keep it interesting in the final weeks of the season if everything comes together in Houston.

Projection: 4,380 yards, 32 touchdowns, 14 interceptions.

Dallas Clark, Tight End:

It seems that there are only two truly elite options at tight end this year: Antonio Gates and Dallas Clark. With 100 catches and 1,106 yards last year, Clark was mostly unstoppable and has developed chemistry with Manning, which can carry a player a long way. Even if he probably won't get to 100 catches for a second consecutive season, Clark still projects as a great option at tight end.

Projection: 90 catches, 1,025 yards, eight touchdowns.

Pierre Garcon, Wide Receiver:

Garcon may not sell a ton of Indianapolis Colts tickets just yet, but he will if he continues to develop. With blazing speed and a high football IQ, Garcon is a great fit in the Indy offense and came on very strong in the playoffs. Having Anthony Gonzalez, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark on the team could limit his targets, but number 18 will find him plenty in 2010.

Projection: 59 catches, 890 yards, six touchdowns.

Joseph Addai, Running Back:

Don't worry about the Colts' inability to run the football. Even though the Colts don't exactly pound the rock, Addai is a versatile back who had more than 1,100 combined yards last season to go along with a very impressive 13 total touchdowns. His 51 catches wer also a big bonus and shows that Manning is more than willing to check down to Addai when in trouble. As a second or third back on your team, Addai will pull his weight.

Projection: 1,225 combined yards, 12 touchdowns.

Austin Collie, Wide Receiver:

After a really impressive rookie season, it's very unclear how Collie will be worked into the Colts' offense in 2010 as Anthony Gonzalez returns from injury. Still, Collie will get the ball when he's on the field and it's not a guarantee that Gonzalez will end up as the third guy on the Colts' depth chart.

Projection: 38 catches, 390 yards, three touchdowns.

Anthony Gonzalez, Wide Receiver:

Coming off of injury, it is difficult to anticipate how Gonzalez will be worked into the receiving corps. Currently he's listed as the number two guy, though it's hard to imagine Garcon not being the guy opposite Wayne for much of the year. Because of the other receivers, though, you can probably grab Gonzalez fairly late and his upside is pretty strong considering the caliber of offense he plays in.

Projection: 42 catches, 445 yards, three touchdowns.
