In this article, I will discuss a bonus structure, a Compensation Plan, known as ' The Breakaway ', or also known as ' The Stairstep Breakaway Plan '. This plan is the father of all Compensation Plans. It is the first, the oldest and it's still very much alive in The Industry today.
I have previously discussed ' The Binary and The Unilevel Plans' and although, ' The Breakaway Plan ', is being substituted by Companies in favor of The Unilevel, The Breakaway Plan, is still going strong. You see The Breakaway Plan is quite similar to The Unilevel. For example, to backtrack, In The Binary Plan you must perform a balancing act with the leg structure. Whereas, with The Unilevel, you must fall in place with layers or levels underneath a sponsor. In turn, earning as you go along is the predicted outcome. Well, The Breakaway is basically that same ' structure leveling ides ', if you will, only one can Breakaway, hence the name.
Advantage being, if you do Breakaway from your existing levels, you usually get a small override percentage of the total organization. In other words, you get a bonus for passing others in your organization. To summarize, the goal here is to get a huge override while you are building your business/organization. When it can stand on it's own, you receive an indefinite override.
However, on the downside, one can find this to be frustrating as their income can be drastically reduced when someone else breaks away.
On the upside, if you're the one breaking away, your income can be significantly enhanced in turn making you the benefactor. There are different plans to choose from, choosing wisely is subjective to your personal needs and desires.
