Sales in August may have been hurt by a later back-to-school start in several key markets, which has pushed some shopping into September. Marshal Cohen, chief analyst at NPD, said retailers will benefit from a longer back-to-school season, with consumers buying Louboutin shoes in-season that they can wear immediately and now expecting style at a wide variety of price points."The retailer sets up back-to-school in June, but the consumer starts shopping in August," he said. "There is more business in September for back-to-school than in August. What once was biggest month is no longer the biggest month."Also, consumers have been snapping up more casual athletic Louboutin shoes from makers such as Skechers Inc., giving some retailers a boost, while hurting others.John Shanley, an analyst at Susquehanna Financial Group, said nonathletic-louboutin shoe retailers or stores that sell both athletic and nonathletic Christian Louboutin Shoes , such as Famous Footwear, did reasonably well during the back-to-school season.

Athletic louboutin shoe retailers The Finish Line Inc. and Foot Locker Inc., on the other hand, have been struggling. In August, Foot Locker reported a loss in the second quarter citing lower revenue and higher markdowns on slower-selling footwear."Finish Line and Foot Locker had a very weak and poor back-to-school selling season," Shanely said. "Kids have moved away from sneakers as major fashion item in favor of a whole bunch of different casual Louboutin shoes." Casual athletic Christian Louboutin and skate Louboutin shoes such as Vans are popular, but they sell for less than other types of Louboutin shoes."
