subject: The 7 Deadliest Mistakes That Beginner Internet Marketers Should Absolutely Avoid Or They Will Fail [print this page]

It is a well-known fact that the internet offers a wide-range of opportunities for jobseekers or those who want to create their own businesses. But there are also vast amounts of fraudulent information and scams which you can come across while searching the Internet. It is very important that you know how to avoid scams when picking the right method to make money online.

Below are the 7 deadliest online strategies or schemes to make money on the internet that a first-time internet marketer should avoid at all costs. If you want to make it through the beginner's phase of Internet marketing, beware.

1. Working on worthless internet programs:

This refers to online surveys that give cash incentives to people who answer them. You should stay away from these websites; this strategy only benefits the survey companies and not you. The amount of money that you earn by working with these programs is never enough to support your financial needs.

2. Working on MLM Programs:

MLM (multi-level-marketing) programs can be compared to illegal pyramiding schemes but are done online. Do not waste your time, effort or money creating websites that aim to gain online customers or generate MLM leads for Multi Level Marketing websites.

3. Joining "Shop-to-Earn" Programs:

"Shop-to-Earn" programs are somewhat similar to MLM but with a slight twist. Think about both pyramiding and marketing schemes rolled into one. They ask their members to invite their friends to shop online by using offline strategies.

"Shop-to-earn" programs are scams because they deceive the public. They claim that there is no need to invest or sell any product but, in reality, members are required to produce up to $400 worth of points just to start earning.

4. Working with CPA, PPC or PPV systems:

Personally, I do not recommend this strategy to first-time internet marketers because the process can be a bit complicated. Other than that, this is an effective approach to making money online.

CPA programs work by having you provide leads to online vendors and earn money for doing it. PPC and PPV strategies involve buying clicks from advertising networks like Google, Yahoo, etc.; the objective is to drive potential buyers to your website.

CPA, PPC and PPV systems are very lucrative forms of marketing and help you make money on the internet, but they are much too complicated for beginners. As a beginner, you need to concentrate on simple, easy to follow tasks that can be implemented easily and cost little or nothing.

5. Lack of drive and professionalism:

From the beginning, you need to treat your online business with professionalism. Virtues such as patience, hard-work and persistence should also be practiced when working online.

6. Putting faith in infomercials:

Do not believe everything you see on infomercials; most of them simply do not work. The vast majority of infomercials about internet marketing are just scams.

7. Overwhelmed by information:

The key to online success is to be well informed, but don't get overwhelmed by information in the process. Focus on one strategy that fits you and sacrifice time, effort and (if necessary) money into it. Learn and master the one strategy that you chose; do this, and you will be off to becoming a very successful Internet Marketer.

A lot of MONEY can be made on the internet; it's not hard once you know how things work. Obviously, you'll need a sound PROGRAM to follow. If you are serious about changing y
