subject: Running During Lunch Did'nt Affect Me!! [print this page]

Training twice a day is tough work as this article by a Cardiff Personal Trainers client proves. Training once a day is hard enough for some of you, so I bet you can appreciate what I went through.

I had had a run at lunch, so was slightly fatigued, but this wasn't going to stop me from doing it. I jumped on the tread mill or confident and set the program. I did the first run no problems coming in at 12:20. I started the 2nd run and it was starting to burn quite early on. I split run in my head and decided that 7mins I would have a 30sec job to catch my breath, which I did. This didn't help and I was struggling to focus back in, bearing in mind I only had 3mins left. I pushed but at 9mins I had to jog again, which I didn't mind because I tend to finish strong to get it over and down with. The logic being the faster you go the quicker the time goes because you finish the distance sooner. At 09:30 I upped the pace with 200m left, but with 30 secs left my head went I jumped off the treadmill exhausted' it then clicked what I had done and that I had hardly any distance left, so I jumped back on and completed the distance in the time, though that didn't matter as I had failed. I was gutted, but was able to take learning from it. That evening I did some research on the Royal Marine Get Fit To Apply and found a circuit to complete. It was 9 exercises (3 arms, 3 core and 3 legs).
